I'm going to post this here, because I want to share it with someone, even though I realize it will interest no one in my family or any of my friends. It's Rob Neyer (baseball journalist at ESPN.com) writing about his attempts to publish his book, how his editor hated it (and told him so) and refused to publish it, and how the book was eventually published as an e-book (something Rob finds humiliating). Anyhow, the piece is interesting becaue of its honesty and frankness, and because it gives you a little insight into what it takes to get a book published.

Check it out.

Dissent. It's okay.

You can hear a song off the new Blur album ("Think Tank") at their website. I like it.

Sounds like the UK release is this May. Don't know about the US.

One more thing: This is good news.

The cable news channels' coverage of the war is becoming almost comical. While reading about Geraldo Rivera's removal from Iraq for revealing military secrets ON THE AIR, I saw this little passage:

One of Fox News Channel's rivals was quick to go on the attack Tuesday. MSNBC ran an in-house promotion promising viewers that ``we will not compromise military security or jeopardize a single American life.''

You can't make this stuff up.
