I have almost exactly the same take, Ethan. "Crazy Beat" is a waste. "We've Got a File on You" actually starts out very cool, but quickly disintegrates into a bunch of junk.
Re: "Brothers and Sisters," this may be the "explicit" song. Supposedly, it's a lament about drug abuse (if I recall correctly, there's a "cocaine" mention). Other than that, I can't think of why Think Tank has a warning on it.
But other than those three songs (and one other, the name of which escapes), I love all the tracks. Ambulence, Battery in Your Leg, and Caravan (especially Caravan) have really, really grown on me.
I read a Graham Coxon interview from January when he was first hearing the new songs (and still in the band). He told the interviewer that he wanted to add "really heavy guitars" to everything. Given that, I think I'm glad he's out of the band. And I don't think he's in a new band, but he did just recently release another solo album.
One last thing about the album, are the bass tracks great, or what? (See, specifically, "Good Song" and "On My Way to the Club--they make the song.)

I actually had a friend of mine (a self-proclaimed "hardcore gamer") tell me that I was stupid because I like video games "made for little boys and girls" instead of real games made for adults. I really have to say I can't stand most genres of video games made for adults - sports, really violent first-person shooters, rpgs, etc. However, I really dig games made for "little kids" for some reason. I guess that's why the Gamecube is the only system I own. Anyways, my favorite games in no particular order are any Zelda game (including the new one which I'm playing currently), any Metroid, most Mario games, Contra, and Kid Icarus. The other game I would be required to put on a list would be Phantasy Star Online. This game was a favorite of mine for several months, however, it became my least favorite due to my addiction to it. Although in no way was I addicted to it like many of the Everquest players you hear about, it definitely took over all of my free time for a long time.

Video Games
Joel's Three Favorite Video Games:
1. Raiden (Arcade)
2. Tecmo Bowl (Nintendo)
3. Colin McCrae Rally (PC)
Think Tank
Does anyone else have the new Blur album, yet? [Is anyone else here enough of a Blur fan to even buy it?] Well I do, and I think it's pretty good. Tracks 2, 4, and 5 are just great. I listen to them all the time.
I don't like the first single ("Crazy Beat"). If you don't buy the album, you'll probably hear it in an SUV commercial later this summer - that's the kind of song it is, and I have no doubt Blur planned it that way. The other track they're pushing, "We've Got a File on You", sucks as well. But the rest of the album is really good. It's not very rock & roll but kind of trancy with an international feel (though structured). Not sure how to describe it, but I can see myself getting a lot of listens in. Some good hooks.
Radiohead
I heard a song off Radiohead's new album on RadioK (I think the track was titled "There There"). I like it. A little more rocky than Kid A and Amnesiac, but still very "experimental" or whatever. If the rest of the album is of that quality, we're in for a treat this summer. (When does it come out?)
Hope everyone is well.
